Kacie & Sabrina

Kacie and Sabrina are next door neighbors. They set up a stand at Jacobson Park July 9 and sold brownies, cookies and candy along with the lemonade. Although it didn't rain, they weren't getting many customers. The stand was moved to Autumn Ridge Drive where they posted signs going in both directions and before long were stopping cars right and left! Way to go girls!

Darcey

Darcey mailed off for a kit in order to help homeless children. She set her stand up at Kroger in Lexington KY on July 4th. Darcey is my daughter and we are very proud of her for wanting to help children less fortunate. Darcey is planning to go and set up a couple of more times before the campaign is over.

Annaya

We had a lemonaid (fruit punch and cookies too!) stand today, Saturday July 12th in front of The Shoe Carnival on Nicholasville Rd. - thank you Shoe Carnival! Despite the torrential down pour of rain and yes, hale, my daughter stuck it out. She enjoyed it! I enjoyed it!  And people were moved to donate out of sheer admiration of her determination to weather the storm!  We are still taking donations, but once finished, our proceeds will be donated on behalf of Masjid Bilal 1545 Russell Cave Rd. Thanks, look forward to participating again next
Christian Home Educators

These children are from Christian Home-Educators of the Bluegrass (CHB).  The ran lemonade stands in front of the courthouse downtown and in Woodland Park.  They had such fun.  Our coordinator, Starr Kramer did a fabulous job of organizing and running both events.

Holly, Sally & Dazy

Holly and Sally and Dazy have been having a great time with their lemonaid stand (at Lexington Seafood Market)!  Come by and see us!

 Thanks,

Logan

Logan set up his stand on July 4th at the Versailles Kroger. The community was very supportive and he was so excited by people's generosity. We were so touched to meet someone who had lived at the shelter at the same age Logan is now. It was a great way to start our holiday and look forward to it next year. When we were leaving he said he couldn't wait to "ring the bell" again this Christmas.

Parks & Rec. REAL Summer Camp
The middle schoolers of the REAL summer camp made a HUGE check to present to us and had tons of fun doing it.  Great job and thanks guys!
Imani Family Life Center Summer Camp
Half way to their goal!  The kids at Imani had a great time with their stand.  Notice the lemon tree with names of those who have donated.  Excellent idea!

Noah, Samuel & Andrew

Noah, Samuel, and Andrew had a very successful day selling lemonade to the passersbyers in Masterson Station today.  I was impressed with how long my boys were willing to stay out in the heat for this cause.  They really got into waving and smiling to get people to stop.  We were all awed with people’s willingness to donate for the cause of homeless children.  People’s gratitude and praise for the money we were raising spurred us on to make another batch of lemonade after our original 2 gallon dispenser was empty.

Conner, Hunter & Joey

Connor, Hunter and Joey set up a LemonAid stand during the Bluegrass State Games at Shillito Park.  The boys were participating in the games playing tee ball.  In between a game, the boys ran the stand for an hour.  They charged .50 cents a glass but many customers donated more.  They had a great time.

Amato Family

With a nice array of drink choices (and a watchful eye from the house) the Amato family had a great time with their LemonAid stand on the 17th.  Thanks guys!
Shelby & Sydney

Shelby (6) and little sister Sydney (2) had a great day at Boston Rd. Krogers! Together they made 210 cups of lemonade! We look forward to next year!

Morgan

Here's a picture from Morgan's Lemonade Stand.  We had such a good time that day.  Chick-Fil-A actually donated 4 gallons of Lemonade to her for that day.  That went over very well along with the lemon poppy seed muffins and sugar cookies.  Thank you for this opportunity!  It was an awesome experience for Morgan and my husband and I.  Count us in for next year!

Beach Bums

Despite the rain, this group stuck with their tropical theme and sold tons of lemonade.  The palm trees and leis were a really nice touch and helped keep the group (and passersby) cheerful even throughout the deluge.

Maya, Candace, Maggie & Campbell

The management at the Beaumont Krogers was very kind to let us set up for four hours in their lobby.  The kids were very enthusiastic and even came up with a chant to draw more customers for lemonade, cookies and cupcakes.  Many people were extraordinarily generous.....often, not even taking any food.

Thanks for giving the kids a chance to give back to the community.

 - Tom & Holly

Elizabeth & Maddox

With a detailed menu and some unique fare (including green lemonade) this team is ready to set up their own restaurant.  If you wanted to make LemonAid a career, we sure wouldn't complain.  Thanks!

Ashbrooke Neighborhood

Not only did this group run a LemonAid stand, they also held a talent show.  Here they are showing off their sales talent.  Said Amy, "We had tons of fun and now know our neighbors better.  We'll do one next year too!"

Jessamine Christian Church Youth Group

A new twist on selling lemonade.  This tactic has the possibility of going terribly wrong.  But they're still smiling and they made a lot of money so it must have paid off.  Thanks for the (hard?) work bearded dude.

Jessamine Christian Church Youth Group

Is that a lyre?  This group got creative (the guys below selling hugs are theirs also) and had a great time in Nicholasville.  Thanks for the creativity and the laughs (and the lime green umbrella; stylish!).

High Hopes

What a massive cooler!  This group had high expectations and brought enough drinks to last the week as well as their own nice square of shade to move around with them.  And it paid off.  Thanks for the hard work!

Grace & Allison

Our kids had a great time with this and Mickey's Signature Hair Salon on Romany Road allowed our girls to set their stand outside of his business.  That was key for us. Thanks,

Daisy Troop #800

Our Daisy Troop was fortunate enough to set up in front of Wal-Mart on Saron Drive.  What a great time we had!  Not only did we sell three different kinds of lemonade but we also sold cookies and brownies.  We had a wonderful response from many of the Wal-Mart customers and even some employees.  Thanks to all our “troop” with Kaeley, Allison, Emme, Carson, Baelin, Spencer, Austin, Alyssa,  and Ava (not pictured).  Thanks to Monica for doing all of our baking and setting up.  We raised more money than we thought we ever would in such a short 2 hour time period.  Thanks again to Wal-Mart for all of their support.  It was a wonderful learning experience for everyone on how to better serve our community!

-Troop Leader Terri

DaeJon, Princes, Shae & Brenda

DaeJon and crew had so much fun with their stand that the adults couldn't help but join in.  Says DaeJon's Mom:
"It was great fun. We all still have some kid left in us."

A Trio of Young Ladies

Romeny Rd. Kroger was the location for this group.  Professional in every regard, they brought their own yellow signs, table cloth and LemonAid green till, the first we've seen.  Wonderful set-up!
Two Area Boy Scouts

The money is rolling in for this Boy Scout Troop.  Maybe it was the outdoorsy floral background or the sharp uniforms but they had quite a day of it at the Kroger on Richmond Rd.
Madison, Katie, Kamryn, Brandon, Kenedi & Cuddles

We were planning a yard sale when the kids heard about the Lemon aid days.  They were already planning a lemonade stand for themselves but quickly decided to collect for the Homeless Children.  They took their stand one step further and offered Raspberry lemonade, popcorn, & popsicles.  They each took turns watching the stand throughout the weekend.  Brandon even took the bull horn and walked the streets yelling "Lemonade, Popcorn, Popsicles".

T
hey were a little shy about the whole thing at first but once they warmed up they enjoyed every bit of it.  We would like to thank Kroger on the East side of Frankfort for allowing us to set up.  This was the first time my children have done something like this and we will continue to do it every year.   Thanks for such a great opportunity!

Austin, Nathan & Friends

I thought I would send you some pics of our boys running our LemonAid stand at the Andover Country Club Golf Course. They had a great time and were amazed at how generous the golfers were giving to such a great cause. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity!!

Walker & Friends

Here's a picture from our "LemonAid" stand on Suburban Court, here in Lexington. My son, Walker, and his neighborhood friends are pictured.

Thanks,

Wes, Reid, Lydia, Lily & Grace

What a wonderful time the kiddos had! Special thanks to Justin at the Salvation Army and Bill Meck our friend, neighbor and the best weather guy ever! It was a super hot day Saturday but they all had fun and learned a great lesson in giving to others as well as honing their math skills! Thanks to all involved in this wonderful program. Thanks again to everyone and keep cool,

 - Wes & Grace's Mom

Rhianna & Keaton

Rhianna pictured with her brother Keaton  ran her stand on July 4th while waiting for the parade to start on Main Street.  We had great fun with this!

Mary & Katie
We had a really great time with the lemonade stand in Nicholasville. The people in Nicholasville are so generous. One woman told us we were doing a great thing because the salvation army has helped her in the past when she was homeless. I like helping people. It makes me feel good inside. This is our second year and we will do it again next year. Wal-mart was so nice to let us put our stand up in front of their store.
